A little carried away...

See this beauty? I am now a proud owner of a brand new Macbook Pro. Did I need a new computer? No. Did I even know that I was getting a new computer? No. Let me tell you a little story.
I work at Great Harvest Bread Company. Lately, I've been calling myself the Great Harvest Slave, mostly because I work more than I would like too, I give away free things all day (and no one says thank you) and I clean up after people...all of the time. Well, last week I was having a terrible time at work. I was supposed to get off at six but instead got off at eight. I was busy cleaning out a drink cooler, helping a new employee who doesn't realize she's a slave yet, and just trying to get everything done. During the middle of all this I heard a beep outside and realized Brandon had moved my car in front of the store because we have to park a block away, I chased after him but didn't catch him in time. I was a little confused why he ran but I got back to my work duties. Well, as I left the store and unlocked my car there was a Macbook Pro box sitting on my front seat! I was pretty shocked, I think I even said "he is in trouble" out loud.
Needless to say I was going to return it. I mean, that was a lot of money and it's not even my birthday or anything! But when I mentioned that to him he said how he had been planning it and couldn't wait to give it to me, and he only didn't give it to me at Christmas because we had set a budget. So, now I have a new computer and I love it.
Good thing for husbands who know how to guilt trip you into keeping a very nice, unnecessary present.
Happy Tuesday!

Butter. And other fun things.

Butter, a big part of every American’s life. In our apartment we have a joke about the butter. See, we leave the butter out so it is nice and soft for toast and bagels in the morning. But, imagine my dismay when I go to butter my bread but the butter is still solid as a rock. This particular chunk of butter has been out on our counter for at least a week, and I can still barely get my knife through it.

This is proof to me that our apartment is just a little bit too cold. So the temperature battle continues, me with my excessive heat in the winter, and Brandon with his love for air conditioners in the summer. It’s always funny to see the other side of the spectrum.
So, for all of those who are laughing at Idaho for frozen counter butter, just wait until the summer when your butter is melting off the plate.
Have a wonderful week!

I buckled.

I decided it was about time to join the bandwagon. The fact is I really do enjoy reading blogs, so I figured, what the heck! Plus, I have a terrible habit of not keeping up with the family, or sharing the fun, short, little details of Brandon and I's life, so here goes nothing.

For a little heads up Brandon and I were married May 22nd, 2010. It has been a blast since then. I have to believe that I have never had this much fun in my life before. We are excellent at keeping each other on our toes and really do have an act for brightening up each others day.

Ahh, true love. He really is something.

With that, I'll have to wrap up post one.
